"Us" is really "me".  I am Elizabeth Whitehouse, self-styled "Compleat Bookwoman" 

        I  bind, box, broker,  buy, classify, compile, craft,  decorate,  deliver, design, edit, find, manufacture, modify, research,  recommend, repair, restore, sell, order and write 

  BOOKS.

 I also offer demonstrations and workshops on many aspects of the book arts.

I was born and grew up in South Africa, moved to London to study Bookbinding at the Camberwell School of Art and Crafts, went to work in Rome for six months and stayed nine years.  During that time I met and married my British archaeologist husband and had three children.  David's career brought us to the United States in 1984.  Here I have been involved with books and education in many different incarnations,

My children still live in Corning each with a significant other.  David and I live with three cats and a large dog, named Meatball who appears in several of my books.
